my grandma’s words

loosely translated from Chinese:

What am I doing here? There’s no reason for me to be sitting around here. What purpose do I have?
When your grandpa was alive, we’d sleep in our beds and never talk, and just knowing he was always there, following me around, I would get so mad. I never said anything to him. So many years together, we stopped talking and he bothered me.
I think now, I was wrong. I should have said more to him. Now I am paying. I was wrong.

It’s true. Tell it to yourselves, your loved ones, you won’t ever truly appreciate what you have or who you have until that’s gone. So please tell those around you that you love them, appreciate them, respect them, cherish them.
