Last night was the first time since I’ve been in NYC that I’ve been able to go out on my own with my friends. I know a handful of people in the city from high school and LMU. It was nice to go out and do something fun and catch up with people. I went […]
Friday was my second day of work and it went unbelievably great. The afternoon started off slow as most of the ladies were out, but I was able to talk to a few and keep myself somewhat entertained and busy. On my first day, there was one girl who kept looking at me and we […]
Yesterday was my first day of work at Marian Hall. It was definitely an experience. I went into it anxious, nervous and excited, but I didn’t have much expectations. I was sort of expecting the worst and not expecting anything at the same time. I really love my supervisor. She is so helpful, really straightforward […]
Today, we visited a few of the placements that we’re going to be working at. We went to East Village where 3 of us (including myself) will be working. Euphrasian Residence and Marian Hall. I’ve got a couple of pictures of the retreat center us Good Shepherd Volunteers and Cabrini Mission Corps volunteers are at. There are 20 of us, 17 with […]
I am in Atlanta on a layover to Newark. The adventure begins today. It’s 4:25 am in CA, but I’m anxious and wide awake! Peace
I’m here at LMU in CSA one last time before I go to NY. It was my home away from home for a long time. Lots of love, support, laughter and memories came out of that office and all things associated with it.
I chose to use WordPress for this blog as opposed to my past domains, LiveJournal and Blogspot because there was a well-functioning iPhone app for WP. So here I am testing it out. So far, so good. Another update to come before I leave for the Big Apple! Good night.
I was on a cruise last week with my family up the coast of Alaska. We saw glaciers, humpback whales, seals, otters, bald eagles, and more. It was a memorable experience that made me feel humbled because it reminded me again of how small I am and how big the earth is. Every time I […]
